Questions people ask before testing

Which blood test is best for tracking longevity?

There isn't one test that suits everyone. Most people start with a broad panel, and many look for one that includes ApoB, Lp(a), HbA1c, hs-CRP, vitamin D, ferritin, testosterone and TSH – the eight markers we track. Our biomarker guides explain each one, and the price guide shows what they cost where you live.

Do I need a doctor's referral to order a blood test?

Not for the UK and EU providers we list – you order directly. Some US services have an independent physician approve each order. Whichever you choose, share your results with your own doctor.

Are at-home finger-prick tests reliable?

The analysis is done by accredited labs, but finger-prick samples are smaller and more likely to fail or be affected by how they're collected. They suit many common markers well; larger panels are often more robust from a venous sample. Our guide to at-home vs clinic tests explains the trade-offs.

How do you make money?

Can a blood test tell me if I'm healthy?

No single test can. A blood test gives you measurements from one moment in time. It doesn't diagnose a condition, and results inside the lab's range don't rule one out. A doctor interprets results alongside your history and symptoms.
